This mailbag answers questions on the GameCube controller, our raffle, rogue squadron, sonic on the cube, and more.
Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. The Console wars.
I have more of a long article rather than a Question. Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony are all competing for the right to win the Console Wars. And I think that Nintendo Will Win. Microsoft relys on it's Machine Power and Fast MHZ to win this War, but You will need more than that! Sony Has a Pretty solid Machine (PS2), with some great games, so I give lots of credit to Sony, But None to Microsoft's X-Box. Now For the Machine That I want. GameCube. The GameCube by the stats has a very good machine 405 MHZ, 128 Bit and more, But the Machine is not as good as X-Box, But the way Nintendo is gonna win, is the Games. It's All Bout the Games, and here, the Big N wins. Zelda, WaveRace, Metroid, JamesBond's, Perfect Dark, Mario, Luigi, StarWars, GBA add on!, and More games that are very famous. That Is WHy I'm Supporting BIG N and I think they will win! the Console Wars. While PS2 comes in 2nd and MSFT coming in last.

You've basically, in a slightly different wording than how I'd go about doing it, said what I think about the console war. By the way, what's up with the excessive capitalization of the first letter? That seems like a lot of unnecessary extra typing work.
Component inputs
I was wondering will Nintendo release a component input cable ready for launch or will a different company such as Pelican Accesories release one and which one in your opinion will be better comparing past Nintendo vs Pelican prodcucts?

I've never thought about it, but when I play n64 games, i notice the controller is very hard to use, with it locking up all the time. I was wondering, do any of you guys have any guess as to what an average lifespan of the GC controller might be? By the way, your site is cool

From E3, the GameCube controller looks better built than an N64 controller, and a lot more solid. But, only time will tell...
in the RS pics...
I think Rogue Squadron is gonna rock when it comes out with the GC, but one thing that puzzles me is the icon at the lower-left of all of the screenshots. Do you guys know what it is?

Well, in the screens where there isn't our NGenres logo, there is a little heads-up-display that shows how much damage your ship has taken. It starts as green, and gradually progresses towards red as you take more damage.
All signs point to 'Yes'. This was actually discovered by Andrew Weatherton's (EIC of NAdventures) in his exclusive interview with the President of Sega, Peter Moore: http://hub.ngenres.com/sega_pres_interview.html.
affiliation?
can i be an affiliate my page is www.ninsen.vze.com sitename is ninsen i have a chatroom, message boards and if not an affiliate why not join up for the top 20 nintendo websites(still in construction.)

Unfortunately, we are very chooosy about the sites we affiliate with. Sorry.
Raffle Tickets
I'm interested in your raffle but the only thing that bothers me is how am I supposed to know that I am even in the drawing. What keeps you from making up some random name and saying that they won?
-Jim
For one thing, we will be video taping the actual raffle drawing. Also, we will host a chat on September 5th and invite all of the people that purchased raffle tickets. We will then announce winners there, live as the drawing happens.
